is a passionate music lover and, in fact, holds a bachelor's degree in music/piano
performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Dr. Wininger is a skilled laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeon and is dedicated to
preventive medicine and patient education. Most of all, he enjoys delivering babies.

hearing new babies cry for the first time and seeing the parents glow with pride."
VALERIE SORKIN-WELLS, M.D. F.A.C.O.G.
(Above Picture - Right / lower)
Dr. Sorkin-Wells had been practicing OB/GYN in the valley
since 1986 and has earned a reputation that is unsurpassed in Phoenix for comprehensive
care. The mother of three children (one teen!), Dr. Sorkin-Wells champions alternative and
complimentary therapies including minimal and noninvasive approaches to urinary
incontinence and menopause. Valerie graduated from the Medical College of Toledo in 1982
and completed her residency training at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore in 1986.
She served as chairman of the Department of OB/GYN at Phoenix
Baptist Hospital from 1990-1992 (and co-chaired the prenatal committee) and currently sits
on the Regional Quality Review Committee at Pacificare. She is also adjunct assistant
professor at Midwestern University School of Medicine. She has extensive training in
laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and is devoted to preventive medicine. "I feel
very privileged to be part of my patients' lives," say Dr. Sorkin-Wells. "They
share their most joyous moments and sometimes their most difficult experiences. That makes
my job very special and unique." It is that sense of closeness to out patients that
makes all of us feel a need to be accessible to them.
NANCY B. HARRIS, M.D. F.A.C.O.G. (Above Picture - Left / lower)
Dr. Harris graduated from Brown University in 1982 and
completed medical school at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine in 1986. She completed
her residency training at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland and spent the next four
years in private practice. Nancy moved to Phoenix in 1994 and took the next year off to
spend time with her two daughters, being a full time mom. In 1995, she joined Drs. Smith,
Wininger, and Sorkin-Wells and quickly focused her expertise in gynecology.
"Adolescent medicine and helping patients with basic infertility problems are areas
of particular interest to me," says Nancy. "Taking care of adolescents is very
satisfying. As a mother, I understand the concerns that parents experience when their
children reach puberty. I enjoy talking to young women about their first exams and their
sexuality. Furthermore, helping couples that are having difficulty achieving pregnancy is
rewarding. I love delivering babies."
